Combining artistic vision, expressive depth, and technical virtuosity, Joshua Millard belongs to a select group of musicians who uphold the highest standards of creative responsibility.   His imaginative, genre-defying, and unusual concert programs have consistently earned raves from audiences and critics alike. 

Maintaining an active performance schedule, Joshua has appeared in concert in various settings and venues across the United States. As an orchestral soloist, he has been featured with the University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra, University of Akron New Music Now, Bridgewater State University Orchestra, URI Philharmonic, and the Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble.  Additionally, he has been heard as a recitalist at venues such as Boston's King's Chapel, the Eastman School of Music Guitar Festival, the Providence Atheneum, Stonehill College, the Southeastern Guitar Congress, CSU Sacramento, University of Louisiana, the Harvard Faculty Club, Bryant University, Syracuse University, MIT Chapel, and Nichols College.   As an improvisor, he has been featured at quirky locations such as Nelson’s Candy Shop, White Bird Gallery, Marty’s Driving Range, Nashua’s Country Tavern, as well as countless other restaurants, bars and music halls.  Additionally, he has premiered several contemporary works for solo, chamber and large ensemble.

As an educator, Joshua has served on the faculties of UMASS Lowell, Stonehill College, Bridgewater State University, Finger Lakes Community College, Leslie University and Anna Maria College.

Joshua holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory, University of Akron, and the Eastman School of Music.
